Washington Access Fund CCTV Rental Program
Introduction
Washington Access Fund provides low cost, long term rentals of “closed circuit TV magnifiers” (CCTV’s) to Washington residents of all ages with vision loss of all types. These devices provide the magnification that visually impaired individuals need to read, write, pay bills, keep up with correspondence, monitor their health, cook and pursue hobbies and otherwise maintain active and independent lives. Washington Access Fund's CCTVs were purchased with funding from the Department of Services for the Blind, the Schuman Trust and the Boeing Employees Community Fund. Rental payments cover staffing, shipping, repairs and supplies.
Washington Access Fund's CCTVs are making a big difference in the lives of our clients - the majority of whom are low income seniors in their 70's, 80's & 90's! Click here for the results of our latest CCTV Renter Survey.
