Selected Medical Equipment Loan Closets in Washington
This list is for informational purposes only. The Access Fund does not endorse or recommend any particular organization. This is also a work in progress. Loan closets provide free and low cost medical equipment on a long-term loan basis. Equipment provided includes manual and electric wheelchairs, scooters, lifts, walkers, canes, hospital beds, bathroom equipment and more. - Helpline House: Located in Bainbridge Island (282 Knechtel Way NE, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110). 206-842-7621. Crutches, walkers, toilet and bath equipment, wheelchairs and seated walkers. Deposit required for some items. Bainbridge Island residents. Email: helpline@helplinehouse.org.
- MS Helping Hands Loan Closet: Located in Edmonds. Closet Phone: (425) 712-1807. 409 Howell Way, Edmonds, Washington 98020. Provides medical equipment to individuals with MS or other disabilities free or at reduced cost. Hours: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday thru Saturday.
- Bridge Ministries Loan Closet: 12356 Northup Way, Suite 103, BELLEVUE, WA 98005-1915 Phone 425-885-1008 Fax: 425-885-3900. Wheelchairs, walkers, commodes, bath benches etc. at no cost to low income individuals with disabilities. Call or check website for hours and availability of equipment.
- Wheelchair Library: Call 1-360-479-4535 between 8 am - 2 pm. Wheelchairs, canes, other misc medical equipment. Located between Seabeck and Holly, near Silverdale/Bremerton.
- Lower Columbia Community Action Council: 1526 Commerce Avenue, Longview, WA 98632. Phone: 1-800-383-2101. Long-term loans of all types of medical equipment. Call to see what is available.
- The KC Help (Knights of Columbus), Richland Council: 2500 Chester Rd Richland, WA 99354-4906. Phone: 509-946-4645 (Let them know what you need and ask them to leave a message for the KC volunteer). Provides standard hospital medical equipment for in home use. Call to request equipment.
